Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park and Nature Reserve

Near to the market town of Fakenham situated in the beautiful Wensum Valley is  Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park and Nature Reserve.  It has over 120 species of waterfowl and waders from around the world set in over 200 acres of lakes, woodlands and meadowland.  There is also a Children's Adventure Play Area and Wildlife Brass Rubbing Centre.  Binoculars are available for hire as well as Wheelchairs. 
No dogs allowed within the Park, Guide Dogs excepted.

There is a very large heated observation gallery which makes this an all season and all weather attraction

There are a number of marked trails of various length and terrain which enable you to observe different  species of birds as well as enjoying some magnificent views. A number of hides and seats are strategically placed.

There is also a number of walk-through enclosures which allow close contact with shy wading birds as well as aviaries; a red squirrel enclosure; a courtyard gallery; visitor's centre and restaurant.
