| Part
of the enjoyment of a holiday is eating out, whether you are looking for
a four-course dinner or just a light snack. In Suffolk you will
find a wide and diverse range of varied eating establishments, which
should suit any need and any budget, including some of the the most
luxurious (expensive), and some which are inexpensive offering excellent
value for money. Venues range from alehouses with roaring log fires to
large banqueting halls. The Sunday roast lunch with all the trimmings is
an increasingly popular family occasion, and there are more and more
places from pubs and inns to restaurants and hotels that are catering
for this enjoyable pastime. We have teashops and café’s where you can
enjoy home made cakes, quiches or large bowls of steaming soup. In
summer Suffolk strawberries and crab salads find their way onto the
menus. Good quality local seafood dishes are readily available. If you are accompanied by children, be sure to enquire if there is a children’s menu available. Fast food establishments are also scattered throughout the Suffolk area, where you can enjoy a donna kebab, burger or pizza. Lots of Suffolk hotels now open their doors to non-residents both for lunchtime menus as well as evenings. Suffolk also has Thai, Indian and Chinese both takeaway and eat in places dotted throughout the county. In Ipswich (especially) there are some excellent restaurants many with awards for their high standard of cuisine. We have wine bars and bistro’s, fish restaurants and places specialising in Italian food. Vegetarian dishes can be found on most menus and locally grown produce also features widely. . |
