Docking

Docking is said to derive its name from this man Docca who in the year AD1038 is mentioned as receiving from the then Bishop of Elmham a settlement of land in the vicinity. The Docking Village sign was erected as a memorial for the Coronation of King George 6th in 1937. The carved column shows a representation of Docca and his son on whose shoulder his hand rests.
