The tiny village has a smattering of pretty cottages.
As well as a good watering hole where there is every incentive to stop
for a meal or just a glass of something. The Buckinghamshire Arms is a
seventeenth century coaching inn with menus that combine both
traditional and modern dishes with a strong emphasis on fresh local
food. We understand that the inn in question is supposed to be haunted
but we have yet to receive details or confirmation of this statement. Fishermen come to display their patience on the banks of the large lake at Blickling in the care of the National Trust. The market town of Aylsham with all its amenities,
shops and weekly market is under 2 miles down the road.
Blickling Hall has a farm shop which stocks pies, rare-breed sausages,
sauces and other edible goodies. |
