A visitors guide to the Norfolk village of Thornage located in the Glaven Valley Conservation Area. Thornage is located in rolling green Norfolk Countryside and water meadows approximately six miles (9km) from the coast and two miles from the Georgian town of Holt.

On the outskirts of Holt is Holt Country Park for way marked walks and bird watching. Thornage has a nice little church with good views of the surrounding countryside.

The network of quiet country lanes and footpaths around Thornage offer cycling and walking possibilities from your doorstep, this area extends all the way to the coast and joins up to the Glaven Valley.

There are no local shops and pub in Thornage but Holt is only 2 miles away with its range of pubs, cafe's shops and eating places. For provisions there is a super market and a truly wonderful delicatessen.
