Aldeburgh in Suffolk Holiday Cottages and other types of accommodation available. By 1600 Aldeburgh was a prosperous fishing centre, until it became a holiday resort in the 19th century.The wide shingle beach is steeply shelved down to the sea and fresh fish, crabs and shellfish can be bought from a number of fishermens huts along its length.
