About Norfolk
Norfolk the land of Big Open Skies
There is something for everyone in the county of Norfolk; it has an almost universal appeal for
all ages and all tastes at all times of the year. Situated on the east coast of England
and known as the bulging rump, Norfolk enjoys a pleasant climate all year round, with a
below average rainfall for the UK. Norfolk has many beautiful wide sandy beaches for
long lazy summer holidays. Or for visiting on winter days with bright blue skies and
sunshine like diamonds and sand dazzling beneath your feet. On the Norfolk Broads you
can either rent a boat for an hour, a day or for an entire holiday, or why not stay in
one of the picturesque riverside villages. Not to explore the highways and byways of
the Norfolk countryside would be a real mistake. The capital of Norfolk is the ancient cathedral city of Norwich
which, dates back to Saxon times. Its twisted medieval streets and historic buildings blend
happily with a large up to-date shopping center.
