 Cockshoot
BroadThe walkway to Cockshoot Broad is open all year. Cockshoot Broad walk is 3/4 mile 1 km. The Broad is managed by the Norfolk naturalists and is part of the Bure marshes national nature reserve which is cared for by English Nature. As you walk along look out and listen for some of the wildlife which lives in the waters land and reedbeds The restoration of cockshoot broad By 1981 Cockshoot Broad had almost disappeared. So a dam was built to isolate the Broad from the river water. Then tons of mud were removed beginning the long and complicated process of restoring the Broad. |
