12th October 2007 Some of our maps were not working properly when viewed with the Firefox browser. This problem has now been fixed. Thanks to those who helpfully provided us with information about this issue.
4th October 2007 DGM Affiliate banner adverts added to site to replace the closed Zencudo banner network.
1st October 2007 We have changed diamond ratings back to to star ratings, in line with the main rating organisations. Strictly speaking this should have changed months ago, but we noticed that many websites were still using the Diamonds and Diamond logos. Most small organisations take quite a while to change the signs, update their letterheads and websites.

As far as we can tell there is no difference between a Star and a Diamond, the name was changed from Star to Diamond a while back, this confused everybody, so its been changed back again.. Such is life!

14th September 2007 Attraction Thumbnail images updated with site snapshots.
10th September 2007 We have suspended our email newsletter service, it has become almost impossible to send out email newsletters from sites like ours because they look just like S-P-A-M emails (they are all the same and we send them to thousands of people).

Although we send them out every month, more and more people are complaining they never get them, and its nearly always because of spam/junk/bulk filters in either client software or they are blocked by the internet service provider. We know lots of people love our newsletters, so we are looking into other ways of making them available. We apologise for this change, but like many other things, the few have spoilt it for the many!

17th August 2007 We have completed the pin point project. Now every location in the Angliacoast.co.uk accommodation database has been added into Google maps, and we now show all pins on all maps, so both Suffolk and Norfolk pins are ALWAYS included. So NOW you can cross the county border and still see the pins. Click on the "AC PIN" shown above when viewing a map.
10th August 2007 Telephone support has been added to our Hoseasons partnership - Cottages, Boats and Leisure park bookings can now be done by phone.

16th June 2007 We now have pin-maps for both Norfolk and Suffolk that show the location of ALL accommodation of all types.
13th June 2007 We have updated the main accommodation type pages to make them easier to read and have added extra functionality Take a Look  Norfolk  Suffolk
12th June 2007 Refresh : A new menu item that reloads the page you are looking at. This is great if your pictures don't load properly or you loose your place when navigating around a map.
It puts you back at the start.
12th June 2007 We now add both Norfolk and Suffolk pins to ALL maps, so if you navigate from one county to another, you can still see the pins. This means the maps are now the easiest way to find accommodation where-ever you need to stay.
11th June 2007 We have changed the switch view menu on the accommodation pages so now it is really easy to switch between views:

List Views : Are ideal if you are looking for accommodation by name or location, especially if you are using using a slow modem connection. The Detail link loads the thumbnails and details individually which makes the site responsive even when using a slow connection.

Pictorial Views : Enable you to select accommodation by browsing thumbnail pictures.

Map Views : Enable you to see where the accommodation is, this is especially useful if you like to stay in remote or isolated locations that are nearby main towns.

10th June 2007 Separate MAP views added for every type of accommodation.
8th June 2007 We have added MAP views to our main accommodation pages, so that it is now possible to view maps of Norfolk and Suffolk with AC pins (Angliacoast.co.uk)
that show exactly where we have accommodation. This makes it easier to locate accommodation in a suitable place even if you don't know all the place-names.  Its now even easier to book "off the beaten track" without having to know all the location names.
Take a look.

Urgent Reminder for Advertisers

We would like to remind our advertisers, that it is vitality important you understand how your bulk email / spam filters work on your inbound email.

If you turn on Anti-spam / bulk Email filters either within your computer or via your Internet service provider then you will miss genuine enquiries.

You could be forgiven for thinking that these services work, and only delete / remove spam or bulk emails. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE. Many genuine emails that are sent from private individuals are regularly identified incorrectly as SPAM because of the words in the email or the content, or because a shared mail server has been used to send spam in the past from another user sharing the same server.

The only sure way to make sure you get every enquiry is TURN OFF your Spam / Bulk email system, or at least check the Spam / Bulk email folder regularly.

6th April 2007

Over the Easter weekend we updated our email system, and changed our Email address, hopefully we have managed to update all the pages with our new address, but if you have a problem sending us an email then our new email address is:

reception(at)angliacoast.co.uk. Obviously you need to replace the (at) with an @ symbol.

Like many of you we get a lot of junk email and spam, but because we have a lot of websites this is now getting out of control - we had 8000 on one day alone. So we are taking steps to minimise spurious emails. We apologise for the inconvenience.
